Recently, the Turkish media focused on the arrest of the Turkish top model Tugba Özay*.
The public prosecution department accuses her of having contacts with the mafia. That’s why she is for nearly two weeks arrested. There isn’t really a detailed announcement about the crime which she has probably committed, but there are telephone records which supposedly burden her.
A few days ago she injured one of her toes when she was playing volleyball with other prisoners.
The guards behaviour was criticized by many people as they conducted Tugba Özay under a strict and rude escort out of the hospital.
Until now Edip Önder was known as her lawyer. But according to the newspaper "gazetevatan" Bilge Öztürk is also one of Tugba Özay’s lawyers. Both, Edip Önder and Bilge Öztürk, visited last day Tugba Özay.
There were emotional moments when Özay met Bilge Öztürk because they also have a long friendship. After a long talk about the main case, Bilge spoke out about the case and emphasizes that they will do their best to get her out from there.
Tugba Özay still denies all allegations and she is very pleased to know that Bilge Öztürk will advocate her. She also gave Tarkan her best regards.
