The four Eastern European concerts announced at Tarkan's official site for this summer has already seen some changes. The Serbian venue at Novi Pazar and the Sarajevo concert in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been cancelled, while a Serbian venue in Belgrade has been added along with a show in Skopje, in the Republic of Macedonia.
Meanwhile, the September concert in Riga, Latvia, is still going ahead at time of writing, and further details can be found at the Riga Concert website. Providing a stadium area plan and headlined as the "super project of 2007", the website's English language version states: "September 27th 2007 at 19:00 on the stage of "Arena Riga" you will be able to see and hear the superstar of music world - Tarkan".
There is also news published at Tarkan's production and music company HITT's official site that there will be another series of open air summer concerts this year at the Harbiye, set to take place between 6-19 August. Although unconfirmed as to whether any Tarkan appearances will be scheduled in, the run of shows will be organised under the HITT banner. Last year, Tarkan had broken all known records by giving five sell-out shows at the Harbiye in Istanbul.
Plus, though not officially a concert, sources in Turkey have informed the blog that Tarkan will be appearing at the IC Hotels Green Palace in Antalya on May 3, in a complimentary show for hotel guests. Green Palace aims to generate international spring bookings from such places as Russia and Holland with the news of a Tarkan show with free admission.
Tarkan's concert calendar for 2007 now provisionally includes:
